Castle asks Kenji to help her transition into her new life in Omega Point, but it never seemed like she was ever trying or making an effort. Castle and Kenji were being extremely patient with her, which I must applaud them for. She was isolating herself and never dealing with the situation. The writing style I felt– for some reason– worked better in this book than in Shatter Me. It may be because I’m used to it now, but it felt a little more toned down where you could appreciate the lyrical and poetic style, but not stubble and stop at each metaphor. This book was longer and allowed for a lot more development in both the characters and plot. Personally, I liked Unravel Me much better than Shatter Me. But, there’s the problem of controlling powers and dealing with the threat of the Reestablishment. Juliette, Adam, James, and Kenji are now in Omega Point and adjusting to life here.
